| Digital Records Management (http://drm2000.com) has been in document management since 1998 and provides document scanning (legal documents, books, catalogs, manuals and photographs) for conversion to CD-ROM or DVD services, and the scanned documents are saved as individual files in the file system. A client usually finds it very hard to find documents with specified contents in such a system, which makes document management functions almost impossible. ExperExchange developed a general application for the clients of Digital Records Management, which acquires images from a TWAIN compatible scanner, manages the scanned images, provides text recognition and document understanding functions, and stores the documents with image into the database, for a client to search for documents through contents he or she specifies.
