Dr. QR Wang

One of the original founders of our predecessor company ExperVision, Dr. Wang led the first development team from Nankai University to the US from China in the 1990's. He oversaw the commercialization of the proprietary OCR technology in the US and other countries: from Windows-based TypeReader^® packaged software in 1991, Macintosh-based TypeReader^® in 1992, to OpenRTK^® licensing software in 1992, which has been successfully migrated to Macintosh, Unix, Solaris, SCO, Linux, OS2, and embedded systems including Windows CE.

With over two decades of experience in the software industry in both China and the US, he has gained great insights to cross-border business development, IP protection and the US legal system. Since 2001, Dr. Wang has been invited to be the sole advisor to software exporting at the China Torch Center, one of the special divisions of the China Ministry of Science and Technology.

Dr. Wang received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, and his MS and BS degree in Mathematics from Beijing University in China.
